Beyond St Joan's

Higher Education

Advice on future career opportunities is provided to all students in various different ways that are appropriate to their development.

In Key stage 3 pupils focus on life in the world of work delivered through Health and Wellbeing lessons.

In additional, pupils in Key stage 4 have the opportunity to receive careers advice and guidance from David Ritchie and Associates Ltd.

Our Sixth form students participate in leadership conferences, interactive programmes with a wide range of visiting speakers, careers fairs and visits to Universities.

The majority of our pupils go onto university after completing their studies at St. Joan’s.

“We have a proud tradition of preparing our students for Oxbridge examinations.”

We value continued association with our former students, many of whom make significant contributions to our school community such as attending certificates presentation evening and mentoring for senior students. Form this year our  alumni support will be enhanced with the support of “Future First”. This organisation will focus on developing relationships with our alumni.
