Key Stage 4

As students begin Year 10, they start a new phase of learning which, for most, continues until they reach the end of their studies at Key Stage 5.  

In years 10 and 11, all students will continue to follow a core curriculum in the following GCSE subjects:  Religious Education; English; English Literature; Mathematics; Biology;  Chemistry; Physics; French or Italian.

To add breadth and balance to their curriculum pupils will also have the opportunity to select two further GCSE subjects for study.  Currently the subjects students can choose from are:  Art & Design; Childcare, Learning and Development; Computing; Design & Technology - Product Design; Drama; Geography; History; Information & Communication Technology;  Music; Physical Education; Spanish.


All pupils will also continue to have dedicated curriculum time for health and well-being through Physical Education lessons as well as personal, social, spiritual and moral development through the ARC programme.
