================================================

St Joan of Arc Parents and Friends Association is an active and friendly group that aims to raise additional funds for our school community.  We do this by holding a number of fundraising events throughout the school year including a Comedy night, Quiz and Curry night, Winter Ball and in the summer a Party in the Park.

The association is run by a dedicated committee of volunteers who meet on the first Tuesday of every month in the school canteen at 7.30pm. All parents and friends can attend meetings and we would love to welcome new members to help us in our fundraising efforts. Over the years we have contributed to many projects to help improve school life for our children and one of our main targets this year is to help raise funds for an all weather sports pitch.

We hope to produce a PFA newsletter once a term in which we will inform you our forthcoming events but more importantly  to let you know how much money we have raised and what we have purchased for the school.

2016 has been a busy and productive year for the PFA and we are delighted with the money that has been raised for the school, not to mention the fun that has been had whilst doing so!

Our main events this year – the Quiz and Curry night, Party in the Arc, Comedy night and our first Fiesta Festival have raised over  £11,000

All have been very successful, with many parents  attending  for the first time. Feedback about the quality and friendliness of the events has been excellent. Thank you so much for those who attended and made the events so memorable.

We have also been really pleased to see some new members joining us on the committee, and would like to thank them for doing so – their contributions and ideas have been so welcome.

Thanks to the money raised this year, the school has been able to add to its resources in the following way: Video equipment which was inaugurated on the Udayan trip, cameras for the Media Department, Fold away tables for the School Hall, providing extra lunch space for the students,  and a £1,500 contribution to the School Library update.

The PFA would like to thank all those who have contributed by donating, attending, organising, rallying friends and giving precious time to help make this a very successful year.
